Jack’s Cottage was built in 1770 and was originally two worker cottages for one of the small farms that made up the village. When Ginny was a small girl growing up in the village the cottage was lived in by a artist named Jack. When he passed away the cottage was restored by Ginny’s father and then some years later we purchased it from her parents and it became our home. During which time we got married and it became the home of our puppy. We later moved to another house in the village and thought it would make just the perfect holiday cottage in the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire.

It is such a beautiful and quirky cottage it deserves to be shared with everyone and it could quite be one of the best holiday cottages in the Peak District.

A little about us. My name is Matt and with my wife Ginny live just round the corner in the village of Curbar. I am a Teacher of Design and Construction and Ginny is a interior designer and property manager. We have loved modernising Jack’s Cottage for the second time to make it the perfect holiday cottage. We love MTB, hiking, travelling, ice cream and would love to share our local recommendations with you.
